2007-facelift E220 Cdi Estate
Hi! - I hope someone can help please?....

I have a 2007 (facelift) E220 CDI estate - and (may) have some alignment issues, and managed to get hold of a WIS document:

AR40.20-P-0301T - Check vehicle level at front and rear axle with electronic inclinometer, adjust if necessary.

It lists different settings for different model designations, e.g.

Check values for vehicle level at front axle
  • 211.08/09/28/29 with steel suspension (+1.9)
  • 211.00/01/02/04/05/06/07 with steel suspension (+6.5)
  • 211.20/21/22/24/25/26/27 with steel suspension (+6.8)
  • 211.6 with steel suspension (+6.8)

My VIN starts WDB211208 - which model designation is relevant for me / generally how do you decipher the designations?
  1. Because I have 211208, is appropriate designation 211.08/09/28/28? - If so, is it because it is a shorthand for 211.208/209/228/229?
  2. There are '6' and an '06' on different lines. Error in WIS? (Suspect not, as they have different values.) If not, what's the difference?
  3. For any given main chassis code (e.g. W211 / W220 / etc.) - is there a list of all the different model designations and what they mean - or is there a method for decoding them?
  • 211.08
  • 211.09
  • 211.06
  • 211.6
  • etc
Many thanks for reading this far and thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide.

I would have thought the third setting in your list +6.8 is the correct one.
Your Vin# being 211.208, surely 8 follows 211.20 (211.208)
That is how I'd read WIS anyway.
