Just came across this thread the other day on the 190 owners forum and this link courtesy of DemonDesign How Many Left?
Lets you know just how many cars like yours are still on the road.
e.g. in my own case

MERCEDES E220 AUTO (COUPE) years 2012-2001
773 807 931 1.1k 1.2k 1.3k 1.4k 1.5k 1.6k 1.6k 1.6k 1.7k

and for interest the quite rare

MERCEDES 420 SEC AUTO years 2012-2001
140 140 166 203 234 266 319 352 391 424 449 468

click on the individual model hypertext link and you get an interesting graph or two. the scrappage scheme has a lot to answer for!

I think the figures refer to licenced or sorned --- I suppose there may be others hiding away somewhere. 773 doesn't sound very many compared to production nos I read somewhere Mercedes have moved their parts out of mainstream spares into the classic category. :dk:

I'm not sure how to use that site. If you put in Mercedes 230e it has lots of different listings, ranging from over 800 left to 38 left. Is it me being a dafty? Or do I just add them all up to get the right number?

I think you need to add them up.

Shocked to see how few 500SE are still taxed, just 203 and only 221 CE300-24.
My youngest son and I use both ours daily and I really hadn't realised how few are still in regular use, which is incredibly sad as they offer such cheap reliable transport with significantly more style than most newer alternatives.

I am surprised that there are 2600 pre cdi vitos still on the road.

I expected the rest to have rusted away by now

Typing in Allard, I end up with Audi Allroad.

7 of my Honda motorcycle :thumb:.

Not that the wife will ever let me sell it (good eh?)

It was me being daft (quelle surprise). You can click on "view combined statistics" and it gives you the lot.

Edit:
There are 0 230e's registered in 1994. Wonder why?

I think it changed to E220 in '94 as part of the W124 facelift and MB renaming

Interesting graph for Lancia Beta if you view the combined statistics!

Also anyone heard of the Ferrari Missing? There are several thousand of them on the road (and they are licensed)

162 + 7 on Sorn left of the CL 55 Kompressor's. No wonder you don't see many, that's if the number's are correct.
