hi guys, are there many varyance in the i/c resevoirs on a e55? mine only has one big hose on the bottom of the tank and a small one on top.
i think that means it is a passive tank (only for keeping fluid level in check) and not an active tank( water flowing in and out)
all the plumbing diagrams i can find show two big hoses on the top of the reseviour.
if i am correct it wont make any diferance to bypassing the radiator hot (crap) water method.

thanks in advance.

does it have an electric circulation water pump.

why are you bypassing it ?

hi stability, it has an electric circulation pump.
the reason i am wanting to bypass is that the cooler the water the more effective the water/air intercooler will work.
my home made water to air for a jappa car runs 5/10 degrees hotter than the outside air temp, the merc system of adding hot radiater water into the loop is a major power killer and will cause the ecu to go into retard mode or disengage the supercharger.
more power= bigger smile
