Would the post facelift instrument cluster swap in place of the pre facelift cluster or is the entire wiring loom different.

This is for a W202 1995 C180 Sport

It's not as simple as that.

I know Koolvin tried to fit a facelift cluster in his pre facelift w202 and it didn't function, this was in the hands of Steve aka MBenz too.

There are 3 different basic clusters for the W202

1993-1995
1995-1997
1997-2000

because of the increased use of CANBUS in models over the years the clusters are not 100% compatible with each other, for example the speedo may work but the rev counter not.

What I am trying to achieve is this. I have a fully round speedo and want. The speedo where the digital mileometer / trip counter are not built into the dial. Thus enabling me to get the chrome speedo rings fitted.

As an alternative i have been in touch with lockwood international and the will make white dials for the standard dash if I can get around 25 people interested.
