Hello to everyone and all the best for year 2011...

I am the proud owner of a fine mercedes CLK63AMG ( quite rare ). I have to laugh as so many people say "is it the black???" and sound disappointed when i reply " no it's not!"

my car is a 2007 reg with 22,245 mls on the clock.

The issue I have and would look to the people within this site for advice, is that I'm the 5th owner..?

Should this be an issue? I have had all the HPI, Mileage, checked and the car is completely sound (and awesome to drive!!!)

Will it reduce the value big time on re-sale?

Hi Gillyboy,

I personally dont think the ownership count is an issue.. Sometimes a car like that is a weekend toy for many, so will rack up more owners... We have another owner on here (Rash) with a CLK63 and also members with a CLK63 Black and CLK DTM Cab...

Multiple owners of this type of car is not uncommon as BaldGuy mentioned.

I think that sometimes, the cost of running one can take some people by surprise big time and they sell it on quickly.

Also, the car may have been pre-registered by MB so this would be your first 'owner' followed shortly by someone buying from the showroom.

So realistically, you may only be the 4th owner!

Is yours a coupe too?.. or is it a convertible?

I wouldn't have thought that the amount of owners would be a bad thing.

You seem to have checked the car out thoroughly, so all should be good.

The only thing that would bother me is the amount of people that would have had their grubby mitts on it! lol!

But a good day or two's detailing will sort that out and make it feel new and yours!

Personally I wouldn't worry about a car having 5 owners, some cars that have just 2 owners were originally owner by a lease company and have been assigned to several people during their ownership

I have the coupe model. I loved the BLACK series but just couldn't stretch that far with the pennies! It's silver with the usual trimming's... Tried to get some photo's up, but administrator not letting me...
I've had mine since last March and have to say it is the most bonkers crazy fun car I've driven. Truly awesome and love it. Clarkson was right when he quoted " If this car had a tongue, it would go around licking windows.."

It's great to hear that you are loving the car.. it is quite the monster.

It's also great to hear that you have the coupe model too!

I think you need to have posted up 30+ posts before being able to post up pics.

I hope you'll stick around on the forum.

I try to arrange AMG meets at Bluewater at the weekends.
I'm not sure where you're based, but it would sure be good if you could join us one time!

Do you have plans to modify the car at all?... or are you planning to leave it as it is?
