has anyone on here used this model of dashcam and is it any good?? to me it seems (from the fitting video) the perfect way to fit a dashcam.

Yes, I have previously fitted an IRO dashcam in my W205. Very happy with it and you can read about it here.

Strangely I was just telling my wife (B-Class driver ) about those. Been around for a while - I'm interested to hear if the camera is any good. Since daughter in law had a bad crash and was cleared by dashcam footage, been planning to install cameras in both cars.

Oddly enough I have just purchased two dashcams for the W246 B-Class (one for my daughter's car and one as spare in case we purchase another B-Class later this year).

Do you have any connection / links? I cannot fine the one I need but note that you have purchased nore than one!

I checked their website earlier - nothing for a W/S204!😢😢😢

Unfortunately, I don't have a link. Being in HK, I rely on my colleagues at work to find the parts I want and source them from China (across the border from HK). Most of the sites are in Chinese only anyway and more often than not dodgy - requiring some digging around and emailing the seller to see how responsive/knowledgeably they are on the items they are selling.

I am more than happy to help fellow members secure items from China (assuming they are small enough to be posted from HK to UK or hand-carried back via my regular visits back to London). But right now with Covid-19, many border crossing points are closed hampering the supply chain between HK and China!

Sorry to open an old post up but how has everyone found the IRO dashcam?

I was about to buy one for my w213 but I read reviews of them not working after a few months or the plastic being cheap and not looking as good as compared to the original MB windscreen cover.

Thanks,

I have an integrated dash cam similar to the IRO one. Found that the IRO one was beyond my budget. I got a similar one on Ali express, complete with rear cam, for £120. Instructions were rubbish but wiring is straight forward and it’s controlled from an app. Casing looks identical to the original and is a direct replacement, just clips in. Cameras are decent quality, certainly up to the job both day and night.

Hope this helps
