Hi there,
Looking for some advice on a faulty radio from a Japanese import A Class 2014.
The radio has stopped working and the lcd display is blank. I checked fuses under the passenger footwell and behind the radio but no issue found. I disconnected the battery and reconnected but issue remains. I tried an EU version of the radio from a breakers yard but it was damaged and didn't work - the LCD screen did flash with some lines with that damaged radio so I am pretty sure the issue is the head unit.
Prior to the radio fault it was working as normal with Irish radio frequencies tuned in, reverse camera, steering controls and Bluetooth working as normal.
I contacted a few businesses in Ireland that work with radio faults and installs but they were unable to help because of the car been a Japanese import.
Would anyone here have any idea of a solution. I don't want Sat nav - just Bluetooth, radio, steering controls and reverse camera.
