Following on from tales of contaminated fuel killing sensors,
"Regularly checking and replacing the lambda sensor is worth the effort.
The lambda sensor must work properly in order to comply with emission limits and reduce fuel consumption. This means it should be checked every 20,000 miles and be replaced when the recommended replace interval is reached.
Test intervals every 20,000 miles
Sensor type replace intervals
Unheated: Every 30,000 miles / Every 50,000 miles
Heated 1st generation: Every 60,000 miles
Heated 2nd generation: Every 100,000 miles
Planar sensors: Every 100,000 miles "

How many people do that then?
