Does anyone know, is lazurite blue (as on R170 SLKs) roughly the same colour as jasper blue?

So, would this car be lazurite blue or a different blue?

... and I think the correct spelling for the OP's colour is LINARITE.

That's the one! Thanks!

SWMBO has a strong desire for us to get one of these (R170) in that "bright blue" :D so I needed to know the name of it! :D

This is the model in the linarite blue she likes. At least I know now! LOL!

So you`re looking to buy an SLK32 :D in linarite blue

Or a 230... :D

Be careful. When SWMBO says "bright blue" she will be very definite on what she wants. Any man's interpretation is more than likely to be wrong! The last thing you want to do is get what you think will be a wonderful surprise and her response is "Yuk, I hate THAT blue"! (FWIW, the RD pic you posted looks a great car.)

Get the 320 if you can, so much better than the 230.

LOL! True!! But that linarite blue is the one she's pointed out to me several times. :)

So, 320 is better. Is that a robust engine or does it have issues like the 350?

M112 320 engine bullet proof apart from the dodgy crankshaft front damper - easily replaced- 12 spark plugs to replace so that's an apparently trivial service item that's a tad expensive when its necessary- a well serviced car should be OK. Shares most of the Chrysler Crossfires running gear
The post 2000 AMG version pictured above was supercharged with a twin scroll unit.
