It's probably the fuel pipes on the pump that are leaking, rather than the pump itself. To be even more precise, I'd say the clips fastening the pipes to the pump are the culprit. When mine leaked, I replaced them all with Jubilee clips and haven't had any problems since.<br />
<br />
To answer your question, it's high up on the front of the engine. Follow a pipe forward from the fuel filter canister and you'll find it.

Is it reasonable to presume that the only reason the drips are at the rear underside tray, is because it's lower there than the front (no drips at the front underside tray), so diesel is just running to the back?</div>
