Hi. I've been trying to identify colour of my merc seats as its been worn a bit and o want to try to dye it in some places. Eventually i got some info from VIN check website which came up with leather/nappa/semi-aniline/gray (868A). But there is no leather dye out there matching that code. Is it possible that it has another name? Would someone recognize that code under different name perhabs?

What’s the VIN, you should be able to get a full data card from MB with the interior colour code on it - occasionally discrepancies do appear on some of the online decoders :)

Trim colour codes are only available through EPC with VIN input.
You are looking for the ES2 code

That the VIN WDD2073022F248204. I got this morning mercedes light grey dye which supposed to be a perfect match but its not even close.

This is what EPC shows

Thank you. It states excatly as i said before. leather/nappa/semi-aniline/gray (868A). But this time in german . Does anyone have the same colour of your seat leather and have any experience in restoring it, please?

You need to go into EPC with the VIN, look up the seat cover part number then go into the footnotes for that part and check the matrix for the ES2 code and colour name. The ES2 code is then appended to the part number.
This is the only way to correctly identify/order trim and leather of the correct colour for the vehicle build.

I painted the seats on my Mushroom Sportline Interior. Painting is what Mercedes use and comes in rattle cans.

Three years on and it still looks good.
