Various.
Back in the day I remember reading American car mags such as R&T complaining the Mercedes 190 Cosworth was only a 4 banger & they should have made it an IL6. Well here you go. I can't disagree that that (IL6 24v) would have made for a fine car.

Seller claims "The car is completely rust free! Imported from Switzerland and has been kept dry stored. "

Its states its the 3.2. My 3.2 converted 190 was the best car I've ever owned coupled with the auto box, was just so "right". I also owned a 300 24v converted manual. Was more powerful and straight up mad but the 3.2 was better.

Got any pictures of the engines in those cars you had?

Fraid not. I did have build threads on here years ago but all the pics have disappeared because of photo bucket, grrrr.

@mazza has / did have my old 300 24v manual along with his genuine AMG 3.2 190.

Reason I ask is the engine in the photos of that ebay listing looks like a an M104.980 (as fitted to the 300E-24 cars) to me - M104.980 - Google Search

The later M104.992 used in the 2.8 & 3.2 looks like this - m104.992 - Google Search

I stand ready to be corrected.

You are correct. I didn't look at the engine pic. It's has the fugly big air filter housing so it is a 300 24v not a M104 3.2 😁
