Can anyone recommend a good Mercedes specialist in either the Liverpool or Chester area?

I have used MB Tech in Warrington for my ML and the wifes A Class.

Both times excellent service and seem to know their stuff.

OK its not a fancy Mercedes garage with the free coffee etc but neither are their prices.

I would also like to mention MB Tech Warrington.
They recently did some star coding for me. Mercedes frenz (or whatever they are called now) did not have the technology.

My Dad has used Merc Frenz on Pall Mall a few times they're pretty decent. I'm sure they have Star - they coded his APS30 anyway.

Think they're called Prestige Frenz now, some of the guys there are ex RoadRange Mercedes.

I can only comment on my own experience.
I turned up at the Garage and asked if they could code my comand and phone.
They did not seem to understand and said it was only possible to do this when car was in factory.
I mentioned it had been done many times for retrofits.
One of the Guys said their machine would not do this function.

MB Tech took 10 mins without me having to guide or explain to them.

I know who I would trust with my car elecs.
By the way mercedes frenz (or whatever) is only a 2 min drive from my place of work, MB Tech about 20 mins.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I think that I will give Mb Tech a try, had a look on their website and they seem like a decent outfit. I woud like to get a few mods done with STAR so if they can do this as weli, then that would be great. Joe are you referring to Mercedes Frenz when you said that they did not know of the mods that you wanted because I have heard some mixed reviews about them. Also has anyone had an experience of the Mercedes Centre in Maghull at all?

Yes, I was referring to Mercedes Frenz opposite the the main dealers in Liverpool.
Never heard of the Maghull Mercedes centre?

Andy is ex Mercedes dealer tech (16 years). Very helpful guy, diagnostic equipment and knows his stuff. Also keeps a good supply of used parts. The guys on Mercedes 190e use him a lot and speak very highly of his work.

Speak with either Shane or Will, they will sort you out.

I think you will find with most Indi's that if get the Diagnosis done then walk away, they will charge you (quite rightly so) but if your getting the job done from them also, i don't think I've had a Diagnosis Charge on my bills
