M157 exhaust

Morning all

I want to enhance the exhaust note on my SL63 (R231), looking for advice, who's done what, what worked well, what didn't work. It's a daily driver so don't want to anything too loud. I don't have to worry about neighbours for the early morning cold starts - Feedback appreciated

Hi buddy, one of the first mods I did was a resonator and rear muffler delete. I would recommend keeping the AMG h pipe design. The resonator contains the H pipe within the chamber, so try your best fabricate a h pipe configuration in its place.

Forgot to mention, the pipes are 2.75" on the w212, I went with 3" pipes.

For comparison, the video below is a full decat and straight pipe, no CAT, no resonator, no mufflers, just straight pipe. This arrangement will fail emissions and your neighbours will no doubt raise a complain to your local authority.

I had the resonator removed and replaced with straight pipes. Not too obnoxious on cold starts and only really noticeable on throttle.
