M271 engine gets a clean!

Only had this car 3 days and one of the things that immediately needed doing was cleaning the engine bay, can’t believe it got to this state but atleast it has turned out pretty good.

2012 Petrol E250 CGI on 59k miles.

Engine degreaser 50/50 with water and a few microfibre clothes and a plastic trim price remover to push through awkward gaps to get as much viable dirt removed.

Where I live, a "brand new car" is one that is no previous owners/pre reg etc and a "new car" is often interpreted as "new" to the current owner/driver. I hope that is a bit more clear, lols.

Yes I think I read about brand new cars somewhere, but then where is the hobby if you don't spend half your life trying to sort it out ????

I didn't read about but practiced it a few times and the hobby is trying to keep a car that has a warranty so I don't spend half of my life trying to sort it out.

I may be misguided but I also hope that when I need any garage works done the mechanics will notice the engine bay has had my full attention and try not to quote unnecessary works.. believing I pay attention to all aspects of the car and have some car knowledge
