Maybe this should be posted as a "stickey" (?)

Engine: M272, E350CGI Petrol

After experiencing that the EML came on, Xentry reported too lean fuel mixture both cylinder banks.
Monitoring the lambda-values with the engine at idle revealed jumpy erratic levels. At first, we thaught that it was the AirMass meter which is not to uncommon, but then a co-worker of my guru hinted in the direction of a bad hose running from the crank-case ventillation on top of the engine to an inlet right below the AirMass meter.

The hose has a Y-junction that connects the fuel tank cannister and on the bottom side of this junction, there was clearly visible hole. This on the *underside* of it... The hose p/n is A27201811482

According to the co-worker, it is a not too uncommon problem. The hose cracks normally between 100,000 and 150,000 kms.

It is possible to replace just the section with the crack, but hose did not look to nice after 110,000 kms so I decided to replace the entire part.

The AirMass meter will have to be loosened (two snap-in hooks) and lifted up and it is a bit of a PITA as the mesh on the top of it that protects the sensors are prone to come loose.
