Hi

Any one know the best place to get MB part in central London?

Many thanks

The best place is probably a Mercedes main dealer.

Potentially cheaper would be Eurocarparts or German and Swedish.

Rivervale in Portslade: 01273 429080
Mercedes of Brighton: 01273 426731
Mercedes of Crawley: 01273 702020

Can't help you with London but these Sussex numbers might help

MB dealer will probably be the only place to get this component. Make sure you have the chassis number to hand -- its on the car on the bonnet slam panel or seen thro the windscreen lower offside or in the service book at the end.

Thanks every one. I'm now the proud owner of a new brake switch.

I live in Sussex but work in cental London so hence my request for central London MB dealers. I ended up using Hampstead (which I must say doesn't seem to have the sharpest/most welcoming of staff).

Now all that is left is for me to fit the new switch tonight when I get home. Hopefully that will solve the problem of my brake lights staying on.

Upon checking that I had the right part (I had the old switch with me) I noticed hat the rod that gets pushed in was actually shorter than the new one leading me to believe that old one hadn't fully retracted hence the lights think they are on. Any way... fingers crossed!

That bright bunch in Hampstead are not so hot, and on a par with Cricklewood, it was much better when Alan Day had it (one of my old school friends)
