MBUX Dashcam incompatible for EQA250+

Hello All,

Newbie here! I got a new EQA250+ recently and was trying to get my head around setting up a dashcam. After a bit of research, I found that MBUX has a built-in dashcam that I can purchase for an extra cost. When I logged into the page it said EQA250+ is incompatible for the dashcam app. I found it a bit bizarre as I read other threads on the forum where users are successfully able to use the app. Did Mercedes recently remove dashcam app support for EQA? I spoke with Mercedes customer service; they couldn't help and said they would have to raise a technical issue ticket. I will speak to my salesman but wanted to seek an opinion from the forum if I am missing a trick here.

Welcome.

The only thing I can suggest is to try both from the Mercedes me mobile phone app, and from a web browser on your PC, because (inexplicably) the two don't always show the same purchase options.

Having said that, the car obviously need to be equipped with the correct cameras setup for the dashcam option to be available.

Oh, and some members on here were unhappy that with the MBUX dashcam, the driver needs to manually start the recording at the beginning of every journey.
