Mercedes 250 SE

Yep...very interesting read and a true resurrection from the dead.

Its lovely, and the guy seems nice, but they really should have gone the whole hog with the rust rather than do smart repairs... It would have cost little more...

They didnt even remove the sill trim to do the rust repair... that will come back soon.

I think it is good to see some classics are being brought back to life :)

It seems that he did it almost as a favour to the owner, who as it turns out was underwhelmed by the transformation, so maybe why he didn't push the boat out, you're right though.

What an ungrateful owner, but very good read - especially how the car's outlook was so bleak at the start. I'd love to own one of those! Here's a theory - maybe it wasn't for a wedding after all but for a quick sale as it had been taking up space? I just can't work out why the owner was so reluctant to spend on his daughter's wedding car and so unappreciative at the end.

The thing is we dont know his side of the story...
He could have a totally different opinion on the whole thing - rightly or wrongly

Difficult to get decent rust-free parts for, we had a knightmare tracking down panels for ours!
