The 5 litre doesn't fit without some extensive metalwork. The 4.2 drops in and sits nicely complete with auto box.

Ford have had various 'Supervan' Transit specials over the years. Plus some DIY conversions of course e.g. someone I knew had a tatty old Transit with a 4.2 Jaguar engine in it. That used to catch a lot of people out.

Not quite a van, but Renault had a 2-seater Espace that was basically an F1 car underneath.

Freight Rover 200/300s used to be available with the 3.5 V8 in them.

Plenty of potential for something fruity, along with a rebadge to "Fright Rover"
