Anyone knows what's going on? (I pass it every day)

Will the building be as impressive as the Audi one next door?

Is it going to be another Mercedes World type place?

Big refurb.

Won't be as big as Audi.

We've already got MB World a short drive away with all the extras (track, museum, soon a hotel as well etc). I think the only thing Audi have is a big showroom and a prime location that can be seen from the M4 flyover. MB World is better :thumb:

All the dealers have had a refurb over the last few years... basically a refresh, dont know of any that have had any major work.

MB coventry had its interior redesigned as did MB tamworth.

Robinsons Cambridge is having a Majour refurb aswell...

They should spend the money on retraining there staff in Customer Service.

Brentford is LONG overdue, last time I passed it (2/3 months ago) it looked exactly the same as it did when I lived in London in the late 80's, large blue MERCEDES-BENZ sign and something about Signature used cars, what puzzled me was this is a MB owned showroom!

I popped into the new Audi place a few weeks ago.

Like a ghost town in there. Almost no customers anywhere, or staff for that matter (this was during the week, late morning time).

Not really impressive at all which surprised me. 1x R8 downstairs as a showoff, other than that just a load of new mainstream Audis dowstairs, a load of mainstream used ones upstairs with swirly paintwork (escalator was broken :D) and that's about it.

No-one approached me to ask me anything or welcome me/say goodbye etc, the layout was poor and I didn't think it really had anything unique to offer.

For such a large and imposing building I felt it very bland and uninteresting inside :o

4/10

I went over xmas, even got a guided tour of the quattro section on the top two floors (conferance rooms resturant and screening room) and a walk through the two lowers floors of the service dept.

Also what concerns me is the amount of traffic on the flyover slowing down past Audi, and soon to be completed MB Brentford, once they put the cars in the glass front bit. The traffic can back up quite a way, at least to the start of the elevated section.

I find it noticeable, particularly at weekends, especially Sunday evening when everyone is coming back to London from the weekend. The traffic usually speeds up after the Audi/MB building.

I just go along the A4, and jump on to the M4 at Junction 2, usually clear as anything.

Ok, it looks like it's complete.

There are cars on the glassy bit on the front, and some more in a lift sort of thing on the end, with neon lights inside. There's a star on top of the lift shaft thing, which lights up at night. I think it's on a stand which is supposed to spin around, but haven't seen it spinning yet.

Traffic is still as bad as ever going past especially at peak times (I only notice when coming out of town, going the other way), I'm still not sure whether or not it's because of people slowing down and gawping, or probably just traffic is heavy in general.

It's always been like that there :o
