Mercedes E350 CDI convertible

On the rear of the car, the panel that lifts up to drop the hood into has a chrome trim. All i want is the rubber seal that goes around the chrome trim. Mercedes have said the chrome trim and seal are all one part and cost £500 + i am not paying that for a 1.5 inch strip of chrome, the seal has just come away, surely you must be able to get the rubber seal somewhere. My car is 2013. If anyone can make any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.
