I suppose those that like the CLS might like that thing?

That's only a design excecise.

The real news is the 19 new "green" engines.

This concept is a research vehicle and will be powered by a DIESOTTO engine. The DIESOTTO combines the best elements of both diesel and petrol engines. The F700 has a 1.8-litre power plant which has an output of 238hp and can get from 0-62mph in 7.5seconds yet only has an output of 127g/km of CO2 emissions.

The car will be at the Goodwood festival of speed in July.

As DM says, it's the engine that's the real news. Details here
If the 1.8 litre makes this monster perform like the S350 but with more than 53 Mpg and 127 Kg/Co2 then what kind of performance economy and emissions would it give in a C class or an SLK ?

I like the look of the F700, the only downer is the frame-less doors. I just don't like frame-less doors. I see them as a necessary evil on convertible cars but just don't like them.
