Mercedes interior box remained open

this small box opened once and remained opened. Anyone faced this issue? Do you know how this mechanism works and how can i fix it?

I had the same in my 2005 C270, a broken hinge mechanism. Only solution was a new lid.

Dealer only or possibly second hand from Ebay.
I should clarify, it wasn't just the lid but the complete compartment assembly I had changed.

Take it out and have look first, mine did this and it was a five minute fix with a bit of stiff wire and some superglue from memory.

Pampos, what car is it ? Looks like W176 A class ? if it is it all just pulls upward (the top of the centre console)

It is CLA 2014.. Probably the same as Class A. in fact i am not sure I understood, should a pull up the center console around the box, or the box cover itself (the item which remained opened)?
