I've tried to activate Mercedes Me, but unsurprisingly it is saying that it is already linked to another account.
The suggestion is that I take it to an Authorised Mercedes service centre to be deauthorised - presumably with the V5 and some form of identity.
Is this the only way it can be done? It seems a pretty long winded way of doing it - it's also a bit of a security issue as the previous owner could lock/unlock the car - not that I think that it is likely, but there are some who might do it as a lark.
If it does need to go in, does it need to be pre-booked and is there a cost?

The screen is showing a car with the 'wifi' signal above, so I guess something is connected.

It’s the only way. The dealer may charge for their time if you didn’t buy the car from them. The previous owner should have been removed.

Well that was painless.
Create a Mercedes me account
A call to the dealer, then a visit with the V5 and driving licence.
Put the account name on a form and sign it
Services were activated before I got back to work.

Good one Mercedes! :thumb::thumb::thumb:

You missed out the part about reading through 36 pages of minuscule print making up the terms and conditions you've agreed to.
