Mercedes Me problems

I've just joined the forum & am sure this will have be discussed before.

I have a 2017 e220 amg prem plus estate. I've installed the Mercedes me app on my android phone which worked ok to start with. However, in the last month or so when I open the app it asks me to say what country am I in. Then gives you no option to do anything else. That's it.

Park pilot which I've paid for doesn't work either.

If I log in via the MB web site it recognises the car an all the data is available just not on my android phone.

Any ideas???
 
I had it with my last car, worked for a while then couldn't even sign-in. Tried to change password several times but it never worked. It's rubbish. I gave up.
 
1. Uninstall the app, reboot the phone, download and reinstall the app from fresh, then log-in and pair it to the car.

2. Call the Mercedes Me helpline on 00800 9 777 77 77 - they are very helpful.

Try the help email. They are extremely responsive and helpful whenever I have had issues in the past.
 
I have the adaptor version as car is 2014 reg and it keeps saying I'm buying fuel in north west London.......mercedes mind of its own
 
I envy your > 2015ness. I have the poor mans ODB adaptor, which is mostly a gimmick - as it tells you what the car tells you, just not when you're in it, i.e. "You're parked here, you have X litres of fuel left, you've done Y miles and your battery was at Z volts".

The interesting thing for me was when Merc phoned me in the car, and (a) called me the previous owners name (even though I registered the Me....) and (b) asked me if the engine light had come on...which it had, the previous week (MAF)....

The GOOD thing for me is the "Dashboard" view, which gives you the remaining litres/range even when the dash doesn't....
The BAD thing is that I need to re-sync every time someone unplugs the adaptor....

I envy you, wife's 2017 had the check engine light for a few days but nobody called from the MB garage. Perhaps because there was no previous owner. :confused: Or perhaps because of warranty and no paying customer.

I drove the car to service and had the issue fixed.
 
Seems to be something odd about the time until next service entry. The App says service due in 8,968 miles. The car says its due in 14,432 miles. What's going on there? Where does it get its info from?
 
Both car and app are set to miles, and the car was serviced just over 1000 miles ago so where did the app get its figure from?
 
Mileage is stored in various units. My cls was accused of being clocked as Assyst was buggered and a reading was out, but that was fixed. Get it on Star and check mileage across all units - you may have one playing up, or indeed just call MB via the app and ask - if you do it via the app it DTMF tones a bunch of stuff home before you speak to someone.
 
Hm, Thanks for that. I'll give MB a call via the app. The only thing that comes to mind is that Star has a record of a service that I haven't. Very interesting!
 
The ESS (Electronic service sheet) will record one set of mileage, but STAR will query all the units in the car (binnacle, overhead, Assyst, gearbox etc) - several record mileage and they should all be within a set amount (binnacle records to the tenth of a mile, others record to the mile, some to 5, some to 10 etc). I've had drift of .5 a mile with Merc Me but no more than that.
 
All due to independent servicing apparently. But... The MB system says the last service was due several thousand miles ago, so why is the app telling me the service due in 8,968 miles 234 days time? Also the email link from app to service centre is not found and the phone link put me through to reception who then put me through to the service dept.

I do think the app has potential though. Just needs some hefty tweaking.
 
The app is very poor if you ask me. The number of times I've been out to close an 'open window' and found nothing wrong is rising weekly. How on earth MB can get live data back from a formula 1 car doing 200 mph, yet not get correct data back from a stationary car just 20ft away from me is simply unbelievable. High time they updated their electronic packages (apps and navigation in particular)

It’s completely useless
 
Can someone tell me why the app doesn't update instantly, seems you have to logout for it to refresh..?
