RHD and that would have been snapped up by now.

LHD and the mileage (although not huge) means you really have to want it for £5K.

I think that's come down in price quite a bit since it was last up for sale in the summer

I thought it was £5950 the other day too, so perhaps he's keen to sell.

It's nearly there price-wise, at £4950 (ONO!) with a bit of haggling it's a nice car for someone - blue-black with black leather, 275bhp AMG engine, plent of old-school charm.

To be honest, if I was after another car and had circa £4k to spend, I'd definately take a look at it

After reading the description (there and on Ebay), the thing that occured to me is that... he's said diddly squat about the condition of the car, how well it runs, etc.

That might be because it's perfect and he just forgot to mention it. Or it might be for other reasons...

it is a nice car, and cheep, but....... the rear spoiler is an early one, it has the amg sunken in on the left, the j reg one would have been different, also, amg would not have stuck the stickers on the rocker cover with muck under them, these have been pulled off at some point, i suspect not from this car either.

beware, this engine may not be 3.4, still nice car for not much money. a good kit would make 800-1000 on ebay.de

There was a later version of the ducktail spoiler but there was no AMG ducktail for facelift bootlids.

I don`t see much wrong with the ducktail Nick as same design as the later one.Reg the engine sticker on the engine,that`s original AMG to

This car is a coupe and there was no facelift bootlid for the coupe.

what i'm saying about the stickers is that they have bumps ect, there is forign matter under them, that would not have been there from when they wee first stuck on, they clearly have been pulled off, mabe from another car, and stuck back on.

the age of the car would, in my opinion, have had the later duck tail that did not have the script indented into it, i have a j reg coupe, now, at this minuet, on my drive, with an original amg kit, with duck tail, it does not have the script on it.

these inconsistancys would make me wary of the car thats all, so i would want to check it has the 3.4 engine in it, i am trying to stop someone getting burnt.

exactly, you can buy the stickers, my point was that they would not have muck under them from the factory, the car on ebay has stickers with muck under them, look at the pictures, so therefore they have not been there from the begining, so are not original, so i would be extra carefull to check the rest of it to make sure it is what it clames to be..........in fact if you look at the stickers you have shown are for sale, one is pre merger, nd one is post merger.

in fact if you look at the car for sale, you can see where the stickers have been pulled off, the top right corners of both are damaged, ask "why would anyone pull off the stickers, and then stick them back........." there may be something not right about that car. so be carefull if you are going to pay top money for it, it could be a 3.2 with a kit and trinkets added later, it couild be the real deal, who knows?
