Mercedes w208 clk 430 coupe rear differential

hello all,

Would a rear differential from clk 320 fit a clk 430? The differential whines and will need replacement later. Is there anywhere one can source a 430 one from if the 320 doesn’t fit? It just seems easier to source a clk320 differential instead of the 430 one. Thank you.

They are different part numbers. 210350291480 for the 320 and 2083500614 for the 430.

However, the E430 and E320 both used the same diff as the clk320. No idea why the clk430 had its own diff.....perhaps a different final drive gearing?

Thank you, I looked for the part number and it seems difficult to find in the uk. No idea why they would use a different part, the good thing is I don’t need it straight away but I want to find out where to source one from.

Might sound nuts but try merc themselves. I priced up an OEM exhaust and was really pleasantly surprised. Perhaps they want to get rid of older stock?
They might also be able to confirm the suspicion that the 320 diff will fit.

Also set up an alert on ebay for anything with ‘breaking’ and ‘clk430’ in the name. Nab a diff when one eventually appears.
