Hello colleagues.
I have a Mercedes 210 with OM604 engine 2.2 diesel engine and automatic transmission built in 1995.
I had a lot of issues with the immobilizer and the final solution to get the car back on road was to change the Lucas pump ( electronic injection pump) with a Bosch mechanical pump from a Mercedes Vito and I choosed the one from 2.3 turbo diesel because the pump has 6mm elements and I considered that there will not be a big diffrence in power compared to the original one. Injection pump code is PES 4M 60C320 RS
After I installed the new pump and started the engine I saw that I cannot accelerate it more than 2800rpm when accelerating slowly and if I keep the pedal pushed the rpm is going down .
With a sudden full push of the accelerator pedal I could only reach 2000rpm .
You can see in this video the two types of acceleration first one slowly to and the second one fast.

I Checked and the levier for acceleration, the one on the pump reaches it's limit so the cable lenght to accelerate iS not the problem.
Are there other adjustments that must be made?Did somone else entountered this problem and have any advice how to solve it?
Thank you.

Pump timing possibly? You would be better off to put the lucas pump back on, then get the immobilizer removed from the ecu.

I double checked and the timing is correct 14 degrees after TDC and when installing the pump I used the pin blocker.
The variant to use the Lucas pump it's not feasible anymore.
I took the car to a specialist installed the immobilizer and the car did not want to start. Requested a diagnosis with MB Star and the problem was the immobiliser. I got in contact with the team that is producing the immobilizer sent the ignition, ECU and key to Poland they changed the immobilizer and sent it back.
I could start the car 2-3 times and after this the same issue, car was not starting and the red and green light in the mirror blinking.
Once again a MB Star diagnosis but this time the guy with the diagnosis could not connect to the ECU. We verified the ECU and considerd that it was broken.
Buyed a new ECU installed the immobilizer once again the car started a few times. Probably again the ECU broke.
That was the moment when I wanted to go with a mechanical pump.
