Hi guys. Been having this problem with my ML 270 turbo loss. With no other symptoms other than lack of power and its not EGR valve or pipes as have looked them over and all good.
Have read about the manifold flaps and motor that controls them but surely they would be a problem constantly and even put the car in limp home mode.?
Any how I took her for an MOT Saturday and the guy at garage is an expert with 4x4 of the land rover kind etc. he suggested that the ML is very sensative to the wrong oil and said that the turbos are a variable vain type which can clog up with nasty deposits from the oil?? Which may cause the odd failure sometimes of the turbo?
Which makes sense as last time my oil was changed it wasn't mobil1 that went in and I have been wanting to change it out for a while now as it just didn't sound as good when engine is cold.
What do you think guys to this oil view?
Oh and I haven't been able to get her on to a STAR tester yet as I'm Broke at the moment
