hi anyone out there have any problem with bluetec my dash says bluetec fault and cannot be started in 450 miles. i have star put it on and just says there ie a blutec fault when you look at the graph for thr nox sensors there is nothing happening on both sensors and just the engine speed is being shown cant cancel the countdown star wants me to be connected to merc to do thiss there must be other way to sort this any clues would be helpfull

I doubt very much that you will sort this without dealer intervention or maybe very good indi. If star is looking for a dial up to Germany you may end up doing just that.

It would appear that the BLUETEC SYSTEM has a problem. Although people usually associate this with "operational end" i.e. the SCR and NOx sensors quite often its a problem with the "supply end" the ADBLUE [UREA] TANK and associated dosing system which is quite complex in itself with heaters and sensors. A message like the one you got usually is warning the fluid is going to run out- but this may be due to an erroneous sensor message rather than not enough fluid in the reservoir- which you should check for for starters of course;)

It propbaby has NOX sensor issues. Could have a blocked DPF or the ad blue system has a faulty component. It needs an official Star with a link to germany for software updates.
They are tricky to fix these and can be a few quid.
