Hi Folks,
Me old ML failed it emissions as unbeknownst to me the tester went by the bloody plate/sticker value of 0.8 instead of the old default values of 2.5(?) due to the new laws. This sticker happened to have an accident to it. It was coming up at 2 - so would have got a pass last year. It's an old 02 plate which has no DPF
Now when tested it had a dirty air filter and by reading the forums have found out it's also running cold as it's been at 60C for years so I have changed the oil/filter, air filter, fuel filter and am going to change the thermostat to get it running back up to temperature.
Is it worth putting a catch can in? If so does it have to be a catch can with an air filter on top? Are there any recommended ones?
I was thinking of installing the catch can, removing the air filter and putting some biodiesel and a cataclean in prior to it getting tested again.
Would love your suggestions.
regards
