Hi I have come back to mercedes after driving a bmw and have just bought a 56 plate cls 320 cdi.

It's just gone through a MOT and failed on the following points -the car has only done 55000 miles.

Offside front track rod end ball joint has excessive play

Offside front rear arm suspension arm has excessive play in ball joint.

To rectify the issues is it an expensive job?

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

No not particularly, especially if you go to an indy.
I found these often failed on my previous C-coupe

Welcome btw

Hi thanks for your reply, I was just concerned that the mileage was quite low for things like that to fail.

In your experience what's the approximate cost to get it sorted?

Many thanks

Hi, only just seen your last post so sorry for delay.
It is more to do with driving style/road conditions than the age of the car that will make these fail- rough surfaces/potholes will cause more wear.

Cost £100-200 + labour, but you probably know this by now?

Not uncommon, my 08 E class failed front passenger top and bottom balljoint at 55k. Speed humps are good at killing them. About £100 parts + labour, not sure about the rear.
