Motorists Don't Look Now

My parents went for a holiday in Dubai a few years ago and they said a bottle of water was more expensive then petrol.

That's the same in the UK by the way (when both are bought at the petrol station)
 
This is an interesting one...

BUT people still smoke around in old big engined cars here as they can get them cheap as they depreciate brutally as the fuel costs are high.

Over there, the joy of a 3-4yr old model for less than 50% of list, or a 7yr old one for about 1/4 list due to brutal depreciation as the engines is thirsty won't be like that abroad as cheap fuel means big fast models will always be more desirable.

Sorry I wasn't clear. They bought a bottle whilst the driver filled his tank.
