My first Mercedes

I'm collecting a 60-plate C350 CDI Sport estate on Thursday. I've already looked at this forum more than any other Merc board when doing my research, but to be honest it's very me so heart would have ruled head anyway.

There is at least one username I recognise from other forums (hi Paul Ff), so I may well be known to some of you already. Looking forward to gleaning as much Mercedes knowledge as I already have BMW, Porsche, Audi etc...

Thanks Bazzer. Bit of a change for me; I've been in V8 BMW Tourings since 2006 (with one brief variation during that of a 330i Touring for a couple of years) and it's nice to get into a car and see how someone else does things.

Weirdly the C-class seems a much more appropriate replacement for my E61 545i Touring than the E-class. But I rarely have back seat passengers, so space isn't the issue. In terms of toys, technology and refinement though, it seems to be a better replacement than an E92 or F31 3-series.

I was thinking it could be a nice delivery van... Black leather inside too so I'm grateful for the panoramic roof. Which strangely produces much less wind noise than my old E61's panoramic roof.

I'm enjoying this immensely. And despite a one-hour handover (mainly showing me how to use COMAND) I still need to play with it myself.
