Needa good polish for white spots and scratches

SM Thanks i will look in to after i have had other answers thank you ..

Because the car is 36 years old wih just a few white spots that can be hid with a good polish. All over good paint work, other than the boot lid.
Clay bar is for contamination of the paint, and clay bar rtemoves it . It has a good shine for its age and no need for clay bar work ...just need a good wax polish ...

I recently got rid of a few marks recently by

1. DA polishing to reduce the marks
2. Super Resin Polish to fill what's left
3. Bilt Hamber Double Speed Wax to seal the finish

Yes, Super Resin can leave a chalky residue but I find it easy enough to remove it.

Funny that people are saying about the chalkiness of Super Resin.....not an issue I've ever had. I think those people might be using too much.

I find it ends up in crevices like the one between the rear bumper and the wing. One swipe with the edge of a cloth and it's gone.

Exactly. "Just a little and repeatedly" is the secret.

"Well Paul, applying Autoglym Super Resin Polish is very much like making love to a beautiful woman........."
What? You get white stuff everywhere that's hard to remove from cracks and gaps? 😇😇😇

It’s been a long time since I used Autoglym Super Resin Polish, but I also found that there was dust to clear up afterwards in crevices, even when used sparingly by layering coats. From memory it’s a bu99er to remove from unpainted finishes like window rubbers so best steer clear of those too.

I dont have a clue ,other than they were not there to start with. I never let the car sit in the sun with warter spots on the body ...i know the sun can bake the water along with any chemical thats in the rain, in to the paint ..My idea is the clear coat is thin,.So water can sit on the paint and thats it ..any water can now get in under the clear coat no mater how many times i dry the car .But it can happen in the night .I used my old favourite Turtle Wax . And now you cant see any white marks in it for now . until it rains ..

You could try and post up some pics and we can advise on the likely cause of the white marks and best methods/products to remove?

It sounds like there’s either contamination on the paint or possibly damage to the finish - depending on which it is could mean a different approach :)
