2014 C63 AMG SALOON
Hi, I thought I'd introduce myself after lurking around for awhile. I am the proud new owner off a black 2014 Mercedes Benz C63 AMG saloon with just 6k on the clocks and am loving every minute behind the steering wheel:rock: and the start up when you start the V8 is just music too my ears:cool: I've come from mainly a Japanese car back round with having owned a Evo IX (550bhp) for nearly 11 years. I can honestly say that the C63 is the best car I've ever had the pleasure off owning. I promised the wife I wouldn't be modifying this car like all the rest but I think am going too break that promise sooner rather than later:D. Can anyone point me in the right direction for some good quality carbon (front lip, rear diffuser and rear spoiler)? I've been looking at the Boca carbon parts but think there a bit pricey but I know good quality carbon costs more as I only really bought Varis carbon for the Evo. Has any members bought any carbon parts from Storm Motorsport/Extreme carbon? Would like some opinions on the quality and fitment if possible, please. Thanks and hopefully I'll be around as long as I was on the MLR forum when I owned the Evo.:thumb:

Welcome to the forum Eddie. You found a nice low mileage C63 there!
Pics would be nice if you want to show us your car.

This supplier has a good name for carbon fibre and will ship to the UK.

Hi AMGeed, thanks for the warm welcome:thumb:. Will get a few pics once I get a chance too detail it pal. I had come across RW carbon when I was searching the web. Am for Florida next week with the family and was wondering if there's any tuners over there that any members would recommend visiting? Thanks again:)

Hi Eddie

Welcome to the forum and nice to see another NI member

I think your brother in law uses a local car forum and posted up a photo of yours - if its the same car it was a beauty

If you can persuade your wife it would be a good idea to visit Houston Texas, drop in to see Jerry at Eurocharged. They are the most well known and recommended tuners of our AMG's.

Have finally decided on my carbon supplier for my C63 after spending endless hours on the Internet and have decided too use Matt @ RW CARBON in America. I've literally just made my first order for the DTM carbon rear spoiler with the idea/plan off getting the Black series front lip and rear diffuser in the next few months. So much for leaving it standard:D

:thumb: I don't have a brother in law Lenny. Thanks for the warm welcome buddy:cool:

I think Texas was a bit out off the way from Orlando. I think I'll just stick too the Internet for parts and if I ever decide too do any mods under the bonnet I'll get on a boat and give MSL Performance a visit as there's no one I would trust over here:wallbash:.

Why not come join the MSL Dyno day on the 18th of September?

Loads of savings to be had with the offers For that day, ie remap & dyno.

You get to meet fellow mbclub members too.

Congrats on your V8 beast!
Boca carbon are expensive but not necessarily good fit, especially for the BS style front lip. I bought from them through Rebellion and twice the fitment was not great. So it got returned n refunded.

Bought the RS style rear boot spoiler from Xtreme Carbon n it was good fitment. But not full carbon.
Then bought the BS style front lip from Xtreme carbon, difficult fitment requiring some sealant towards the bend. Also, carbon weave around the bends are overstretched. Not big deal but noticeable if look closely enough.

Hi Sirius, thanks for the feedback on the Boca carbon. If am honest, am a bit surprised too hear the fitment wasn't good as I was lead too believe they were the best carbon for the Mercedes. I've heard off Xtreme carbon and they seem too get a good rep on the MLR forum (Mitsubishi evolution). Would love to go to MSL dyno day but at the minute it's not possible with work as am over in Northern Ireland but I will be making a trip over too MSL for a remap and a few other bits in the near future for sure. :thumb:

... and welcome :thumb:

:bannana: couldn't agree more TripleD but trying too get a few days too myself too get her detailed is proving quite hard at the minute:wallbash:.

On another note, I received my first carbon order from Matt@RW Carbon and too say am pleased would be a understatement, just hope the fitment is as good as the quality.
