Hi all,

After much contemplation I've finally picked up a 2013 Mercedes E220 Sport with 30k on the clock. Lovely car with decent extras however there are a couple of items I'd love some assistance with.

- both long aluminium trim strips on the left and right of the centre console have a few scratches on. Are these easy to replace? Does anyone have a part number and approximate cost?

- Car pulling to the left. 2 X new Continentals put on front, dealer says techs can't find a problem. I've now asked for alignment to be done - dealer has been great and has agreed that they want the car to be perfect and will book it in. My question is, are there any known issues that may be causing this apart from alignment?

Thanks for your time.

Great choice of car. Welcome.

Regards "pulling left" there are known issues with nearly all Mercs pulling left. Some just live with it, others have found that alignment can dial this out. Try searching on here for Wheels in Montion (WIM). Tony has done great work on documenting this and how to eradicate it.

Good luck. Enjoy that car.

Hi. Nice choice.

I had the same issue with my 2012 S212. The left alloy trim was badly scratched. I found one on eBay and luckily only paid £5 for it. It's very easy to replace. Follow the the video instructions below.

Thanks brucemillar, that's a great help. I will let you know the outcome once it's been in again - will book it in for a week or two.

Abcan - that's superb! I've just bought both sides and for £11 - £17 I'll take the gamble and see what they come like.

Thanks for the welcome guys, you've been very helpful.
