Hi Folks.
Been a BMW driver for the last 15 years (Boo Hiss) , but customer service for me is now myth.
So i wandered into the local merc dealer expecting to be disappointed.
Long story short if i can do the deal i am after a GLB.
Was looking at used , but the new price starts under £39k , with a better apr.
Anyway i could do with some advice.
Base model has the 1.3 turbo petrol.
Had a drive in one and it felt fine with just 3 adults in it.
But i think the base diesel will be the way to go ?
Also i do not need 7 seats but salesman reckoned you cant spec it with only 5 ?
Then i spot on the website that a New GLB is coming soon.
Not too worried as i love the current shape , but will the price of these older models drop to get rid of them nearer the release of the new model ?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I had the GLB 220d for a weekend 2020 model i thought it was quite a nice place to be but was let down by the interior especially the cheap seat's
Personally I wouldn't want the 1.3 petrol or the Renult clio 1.5 diesel

Earlier ones were available as 5 or 7 seat before the default changed to all 7

Facelift later this year in line with the rest of the A Class family. Worth the wait? Spec seems to have improved but you pay for it in price increased!

Engine in a personal choice, all very capable so depends on your usage. Journey types, length, preference etc. The smaller petrol engine is fine and the infamously incorrectly named ‘Renault’ engine doesn’t feature anymore. Choose what’s best for you.

Get some pics up once it’s bought!

The petrol is giving me the fear.
i havent driven anything under a 2 litre diesel in 20 years.
The 200d will fit the bill.
Wasn't sure if prices of this model will drop in the next month or 2 , but most probably they wont especially up here in Glasgow.
Thanks for the input sambo

The 220d comes with 4matic as standard as is the only variant which can be spec’d with only 5 seats which is what I’ve got giving all the benefits of huge room in the rear with seats that slide backwards (or forwards) to allow access to the third row area - they also recline too - the rear leg room is truly impressive and tardis like! This engine is also pacey and economical too - you wouldn’t be disappointed in the performance.

Tiny engine in a big car. Uh oh.
