Hi Folks

New to the forum, not long got my 1st MB E280cdi sport 2009.
Looking for some advise on my AC, just got it recharged with R134 gas but AC light flashes a couple of times then goes out!! anyone know if i need to get it reset with star or can i do this myself? Also does anyone know where i can get a volume control knoB for a comand NTG2.5.

Just want to check on the a/c. You did have the system emptied and refilled and checked for leaks?

I ask because I took a Ford Focus to Halfords once and they 'topped the a/c gas up'. Much like you would your windscreen washer fluid. Needless to say they bu@@ered the system and it refused to work at all!

It took a specialist a/c mechanic to fix it. Too high a pressure, apparently.


On the Comand knob. You could try calling 'Comand Online' 01276 474900 and speak to Mark.

Very politely explain you are on the MB Forum and was there any chance they might be able to find you one off an old defunct unit?
Long shot, but worth a try
