Have just traded my 2008 E320 which had Audio 20 ( radio + single CD player ) for a 2007 ML with Command ( assume Ntg2 ) and although I checked the Command had a disc and was working I assumed there was also the possibility of playing CD's. Car advert said radio/cd and Command. On closer inspection looks like there is no facility to play a CD ( or Bluetooth, which I knew as car is pre wired for phone and we have transferred a Nokia and cradle between the two cars )
Am I right in assuming I either spend a considerable amount of money to upgrade to Ntg2.5 ( with CD/DVD playback and Bluetooth ) or just switch to a Viseeo4 Bluetooth unit which would enable me to play music from my Iphone via the Aux as well as connect the iPhone to the car and allow me to get rid of the Nokia phone.
Input from anyone with knowledge or experience would be really welcome

You can play a CD in the slot in the COMAND. But it means you have to take the map disk out, which you can do after you have planned a route (and it will still give you turn by turn instructions but no map).

Also, optionally, there is a CD changer above the glovebox, which is released and drops down when you press a silver 1cm x 1cm button at the centre console edge of the glovebox when glovebox is open.

Thanks Richard, have just ejected Command disc and played a CD! . Will get to grips with everything at some stage. Just leaves me to decide if Bluetooth worthwhile or keeping the old Nokia with a different mobile number is good enough. Tend to get or make very few calls when in the car so will probably live with the Nokia and spend a few pounds buying a new updated Command Nav disc as car is running the original 2007 version

Congratulations on your new car! As suggested by Richard, check the glovebox for the silver button to release the multi disk autochanger.

Do you have a jack plus socket in your glovebox? If so connect up an Anker Soundsync for Bluetooth audio, I picked one up for around a tenner from Amazon.

Jack socket will be on right hand side of glovebox (i.e near centre console) about 6" in.

Very Very easy to add on a ML/GL if you don't
