Hi all MBUK members, I’m new to the forum and am hoping someone may be able to advise me on this issue.
I have a 2017 GLE350 and its developed two issues simultaneously.
I got a dash board message a few weeks ago in white “Change Key Fob Battery” so I put 2 new batteries in the key fobs. Soon later the fobs where not unlocking or locking the car without pressing the buttons multiple times. and getting further dash board messages “No Key Fob Detected” in white and red. I have just had the car serviced B1 by a Mercedes Specialist whom I have used for years, they did a system reset and replaced the batteries and it’s been fine for a week and the issue is reoccurring.
Also the boot is clicking to unlock by the fob but won’t open unless manually lifted but will unlock and open when using the switch on the drivers door.
Has anyone had similar issues to this or have advice what the issue may be. Any help would be gratefully received. My local MB dealer want to charge £210.00 just to put it through diagnostics.
Thank you in advance John

Welcome to the forum John.

Surely your Mercedes specialist who carried out the service has Star diagnostics and can scan the car for fault codes for a lower cost than the main dealer?

A proper diagnostic scan of the car is required

David
