I know we've had this debate before, but a government report out this morning says that ALL speed cameras are in the right places.

That was based on a wonderful survey of Speed Camera Partnerships. Went roughly as follows:

Q. Are your speed cameras in the right places?

A. Of course they are.

Self serving claptrap and spin by interested parties.

Truth is that speed cameras are now a clear political issue so all sense & reason goes out of the window. There is also a worry in governement circles about growing "civil disobedience" (torching cameras, attacking them with angle grinders, JCB's etc) which if it grows is a no win situation for them.
