O/S mirror

I’ve changed both wiring loom and the mirror adjustment control on the O/S door but still the up/ down does not work ??? Everything else on that door is fine, I think... the up/down stopped working about a year ago on the original loom and control hence I’ve changed both hoping to solve the issue but it has not ???? Any idea s please ?

It could be a break in the wire going from the A post to the door, the opening and closing of the door can cause the wires to flex eventually leading to one or more breaking.

I replaced the complete L/H mirror and it did not work, wiggle the 2 halves of the multi pin plug and it worked.

The multi pin plug behind the small speaker. The speaker has to be unclipped to get access to 3 torx screws to remove the entire door mirror.

Don't forget, the 'Torx' screws holding the mirror on are 'TR' type so require 5 lobe tools, not the 6 lobe ones

Took small speaker off door and removed mirror to find all the wiring goes into the door on my car ? Couldn’t see a multi plug anywhere and gave the wires a wiggle around but still no up/down on the mirror . I’m wondering if it’s actually the black box at top of the door that all the plugs connect too, sits hidden behind the door panel.
