Om646 timing chain

Hi guys I I having fairly regular code coming up for crankshaft position sensor on my 130 thou mile om646 Vito/sprinter engine , having read some stuff on the internet it’s indicative of a loose timing chain tensioner I just wanted to see if this may be the case from anyone in the know before I take the deep dive and start dismantling the engine to replace the tensioner and possibly the chain , gears as well ?

I don't see how an issue showing the cps is at fault can be connected to the timing chain tensioner?
Before tearing your engine apart, get it properly diagnosed at a Mercedes specialist and get his opinion on the connection between the two.
Getting diagnosis from the internet can be a costly business.

I agree with AMGeed, might happen with a cam sensor though
