Parktronic not working

Hi I am new happy Vito owner. I have a 57 plate 115CDi, which I am very pleased with. It has a few minor issue one of which is the Parktronic system does not seem to work. The Leds (all on the dashboard) light up when the ignition is turned on, but there is no sound and when tested by getting a volunteer to stand by the sensors (front and back) while engine on and in gear. The fuse is fine and sensors are clear, any ideas?? Also there is no on/off switch on the dash board anywhere that I can see.

Are you sure you have parktronic and not an aftermarket system ?

Well I know this is what normally gets said to posters but you need a star on it,because if you get one or two sensors not working they stop the whole system working ,I had it a while ago when some kind person with a tow hitch just nudged my rear bumper and broke a sensor,I was surprised that the whole system went down,
