Just doing some net browsing ref my oil leak.dip stick problem and the crank case pressure seems to come up as a possible problem. However, the pcv valve is also being questioned so..

I know what this does and have a great pic of one for a ford taurus, not very useful for me. However, where would it be on my car and how would i test it without dealership/so called specialist involvement?

Thanks

The two breather pipes from the cam covers connect together at the PCV.

plesas what does it means PCV?

further, on y C270cdi I've a sort of valve/little pumps that start for about 30 seconds every time I stop the engine, like to pump air into something: I see a plastic vacuum pipe going into the cabin fromt this device.

This device is supported by the cooling tank and yes, it's not the pump for the headlamp washing system.

thanks for any help

probably not what you are talking about , but they do open the fresh air vents when you stop the engine to make it easier to shut the doors (works too)
