You need a test light to check .

Set test meter to dc 12v find body earth screw into inner wing, or a handy earth point (numerous brown wires ) hold black - probe on it
Turn ignition on touch fuses with red probe until you can find one that stays live when you switch ignition off... you have found your permanent feed
do the same until you lose your voltage...you have found your switched line.

it is for a c200 4matic coupe 69 plate

I couldn't find any switched live and permanent Fuses in the Footwell Fusebox, I used the one at the End of the Instrument Panel, can't remember which Fuses I used though, as it was two cars ago!

Some don't have any , I had to use a 12v from the glovebox light on my c207. My glc 350 had a tiny tiny connection in the driver's side panel I took a source from.

still can't find correct fuse I need to piggy back off the fuse using a hardwire kit just need to work out which fuse I have a c200 4matic coupee but the fuse diagram I have found on here doesn't coincide with fuse numbers any ideas

Just use a voltmeter or a test light to find a switched and a permanently live supply?
