Nope nothingIt loks like it is a plastic film applied to the dash - have you used any cleaning materials containing solvents?
Possible but I would be surprised if an air freshener has caused that. Thanks for replyA bit of a long shot, but have you had a car air refreshener
near it, they can actually do that.
(Just beat me to it Ted)![]()
I may take to dealership to ask although isn’t within warrantyLike most of the satin look it's a paint film applied to plastic, just hasn't stuck very well
PHTHALATES ! used as solvents/ plasticizers- thought these had been banned- maybe only certain ones? In other words the solvents used in the air freshener may be chemically related to similar compounds in the dash plastic.

Wow. I can’t believe it. How did you fix it?Plus for air freshener...I had this on an old BMW years ago..it was clipped to an air vent and dripped down the dash causing exactly the same effect
Other than removing the affected section and refinishing no -sorry A vehicle interior detailer may know otherwise??seriously?!!!!! I and shocked that an air freshener could cause this. Do you know how I could fix this?
