What fault codes have you got? Also just something simple do check you boost hoses to intercooler for splits

Interesting to know why you changed the engine ECU . Please get the initial fault codes for us to disect.

I was advised by a mechanic and then still had problem went to another mechanic who said do the maf sensor still have the problem, they both said found codes but said try it. Then have been told something to do with turbo? So have had the arms checked and are fine so pipes next thanks to man on this site then will have to pay out again for another diagnostic to get codes and presume re set, such a pain. Thanks

Possibly exhaust back pressure sensor at fault , definitely wouldn't of been the ECU or the MAF . The problem with code readers is, the simplest of problems creates more problems within the chain of how the car operates , the exhaust back pressure sensor will trick alot of mechanics into thinking it's the turbo actuator at fault , when actually it isn't. You need to pay for a mercedes star session and stop handing out money on guessing.

It's not impossible for the ECU or maf to fault , but doubtful 🤔.

Thank you for your reply, it is really helpful, I will get husband to look at the pipes but yes get my car booked in again but this time with Mercedes garage. To make matters worse it’s now been classified a cat n as a lovely person drove into my parked car, it will get better I’m sure.
Thanks again for your help

Might be a bit late now… but if u did have maf sensor problem most garages dont fit real merc parts i had the same problem after a local garage put on aftermarket parts n when i toom it back they try to say it’s got an electrical problem.
Mine needed map and maf sensor so replaced it with merc parts n was fine for a bit then the air quality sensor gone bad aswell so gonna change that in the morning.
Hope u got it sorted by now
